Zoo and pool of Les Marécottes
Immersed in a larch forest, set off on an inspiring encounter with the Valais alpine fauna. At an altitude of 1,100 metres in Les Marécottes, in the Trient Valley, the highest zoo in Europe showcases its natural beauty across an area of 35,000 m2. A magnificent opportunity to approach bears, lynx, foxes, deer and marmots in their real habitat, along with many of the other 150 individuals who either live or used to live in the Alps.
A picnic spot is available, as is the pizzeria for those with wild appetites. And to make the visit absolutely unforgettable, a detour to the alpine pool is worth the plunge!
